Use a compliant electronic invoicing solution

e-invoicing solutions must comply with the requirements and specifications published under the e-invoicing laws and regulations and can be summarized for Phase 1 as follows:

  • Ability to generate e-invoices with the required elements including QR codes.

    • Mofoter Pro generates e-invoices as per the Zatca prescribed fields/elements including QR codes.

  • Ability to timestamp the e-invoice copies archived in the solution.

    • Each Transaction along with the invoice generation in Mofoter Pro is Timestamped.

  • Absence of prohibited functionalities.

    • All the prohibited functionalties mentioned by Zatca are completely restricted in Mofoter Pro.

  • Uncontrolled access

    • Mofoter Pro access is based on proper Authentication & Authorization. There are roles like Admin, Manager and Cashier which can be assigned to the users and each user’s rights will be controlled by these roles. Each user is authenticated with a form based Authentication module. Passwords are kept encrypted.

  • Software time change

    • As Mofoter Pro is a web based SaaS platform no user can make any change to the software time. It picks up the server time for timestamping.

  • Tampering of e-invoices or logs

    • Mofoter Pro doesn’t allow any user to tamper or modify invoice or any other log related to the invoice. Even Admins can’t make any change in invoice and related logs. An invoice can only be created or cancelled. In case of any mistake user has to cancel the invoice mentioning proper reason. In case of return/refund of complete/partial order credit notes can be generated referencing the invoice number.

  • Multiple invoice sequences

    • Mofoter Pro generates a single invoice sequence and no user including admin can make any change in this sequence.

Ensure invoices include the required additional fields

  • Tax Invoices:

    • The VAT registration number of the buyer if the buyer is a registered VAT taxpayer in addition to the invoice type Description as a title. QR code can be added (Optional)

  • In Mofoter Pro Invoices are:

    • Printed with the Vat Number of the buyer if the buyer is registered VAT Taxpayer, Along with the QR code Printing on Invoice

  • Simplified Tax Invoices:

    • A mandatory QR code generated by the taxpayer’s E-Invoicing solution based on ZATCA’s specifications, in addition to the invoice type Description as a title.

  • In Mofoter Pro Invoices are:

    • Invoice printed with QR code

QR Code fields mentioned on invoice are: Seller Name, VAT Registration Number of the Seller, Time Stamp of the Invoice/Credit/Debit Note, VAT Total, Invoice/Credit/Debit note total (with VAT)

In Phase 2, the system must send each invoice directly to ZATCA .

  • As soon as an invoice is generated, it is automatically sent to ZATCA, cryptographically stamped, and approved before being issued to the customer.
  • The entire process is seamless, fast, and ensures that all your invoices are 100% compliant without disrupting your sales flow.
  • Integration is maintained securely through production credentials issued by ZATCA to ensure authenticity and safe data transfer.
  • Supports both **Clearance (B2B)** and **Reporting (B2C)** types of transactions.

    • Invoices are sent in real-time to ZATCA for clearance before being shared or printed. A unique cryptographic stamp is returned and included in the final invoice.

    • Invoices are generated and reported to ZATCA within 24 hours automatically, along with QR codes for consumer verification.

  • Mofoter Pro intelligently detects the type of buyer and handles the correct invoice flow as per ZATCA's classification rules, reducing the risk of non-compliance.
  • Each invoice type includes all mandatory Phase 2 metadata: UUID, invoice hash, cleared status, and cryptographic stamp.

All invoices in Mofoter Pro are digitally signed and hashed as per ZATCA’s encryption and compliance standards for transparency and audit-readiness.
